Over at The Odd Mix the Weekend Word Challenge is posted. The words for this week are discipline and comfort.
For comfort, I chose my ultimate comfort food, ice cream.
Otherwise known as the nature’s wonder. Sweet creamy yumminess. (is that a word?) What’s not to like? Well, besides the additional inches it adds to my waistline. Which brings me to my next word. Discipline.
I rarely buy ice cream, as I often lack the dicipline to just leave it in the freezer.
So, in this instance, true discipline is leaving the refrigerator doors closed.
Ooooo. I like your shots much better than mine. Very well thought out and very well shot. Funny, I am not missing the chocolate or the ice cream – but not drinking tons of orange juice is likely to kill me.
I love that shot of the ice cream! Great picture. Very well done. And you’re right …. nothing says comfort like ice cream.
I love how the ice cream reflects in the spoon, and the handles of the fridge and freezer are shot right at the level you would need to grab to open them. I have a discipline problem with desserts, too!
I love the swirl reflections of the ice cream in the spoon. Nicely done! Also one of my comfort foods… and foods to be bribed with.
The ice cream photo is awesome. The focus on the spoon is really cool. No pun intended. 🙂
Ha! Great interpretation of discipline. I was asking my husband, “What do you think? Maybe a lock on the fridge for the discipline pic?” Looks like we had somewhat the same idea. I went with the old standby though: a picture of the dog. 🙂
The ice cream shot is beautiful, but the closed fridge is classic!!
