Holy Cow Christmas has come and gone! How did that happen? Come to think of it…where on earth has the entire year gone off to? I still remember desperately waiting for Christmas break to arrive…taking turns ripping off another link of the count down chain in my first grade classroom. Then our first grade teacher just smiling and saying it will come so much faster when we get older. She was oh so right….
Santa brought KT a netbook as her big gift. She has been having lots of fun sitting in the armchair next to me and inviting me for a video chat. So we sit there, chatting back and forth peering over our screens making faces at each other.
Mom has discovered the joys of video chatting as well. (she’s staying about half an hour away so it makes a bit more sense) I have to laugh at her because she spends more time staring at herself talking and fussing with her hair than paying any attention to me. I think I she just needs a big mirror.
I’m getting a little panicky about getting my list of 45 Things done. I’ve been working on it…slowly…but I’ve only got about a month and a half left to complete everything. Ack! I may have to break my self-imposed unwritten rule of having to blog about each item before I can cross it off.
I’m also stressing about next year’s list of 46 things. It’s really hard to think of that many things I want to do in a year’s time. Some of the stuff I wrote for my old list just seem silly to me right now.
KT is in the kitchen having a cheerful conversation in song with herself. It cracks me up to see that she takes after me in ways that she never thought she would. The rest of the house is still asleep. I keep thinking I should wake them all up (it’s nearly eleven after all!) but I’m enjoying the relative quiet too much to do that to myself!
Shaun got me a gift that I really, really love…except for the fact that it’s making my brain ache and my eyes glaze over. I’ll tell you about it in a day or two!
Enjoy your day!
A brain ache and glazed eyes–for me that would be anything Sodoku related.
Ha, I don’t even attempt Sudoku!
I had to laugh with how you described your mother on video chat. She must either be disliking how she looks on screen or quite loving it. 😉 In either event, I hope she’s mostly having fun with it.
You know…I really couldn’t tell you which one it was!
a bottle of tequila?? please share…..I think I need it!
All I have is wine…and I’ll happily share!
