I’ve had a half-written post desperately waiting to be completed sitting in my Live Writer for about a week now. I was all set to finish it when I received notification that a new article of mine has been posted at Life As A Human. Trust me when I say the article is a lot more interesting than what I was working on, I enjoyed writing it and I think you will enjoy reading it. It is a poignant tale that involves a ten-foot long, rainbow colored, stuffed fleece snake named Wilbur, preschoolers, some stitches in my leg and my grandmother. (You never thought you’d see a combination like that, did you?) It’s called Needle and Thread and I would be honored it you would go HERE to read it.

Great Article. I remember going over to my great grandmothers house for hours, learning different stiches, sewing on little patches of scrap fabric, it was one of my favorite things to do as a kid. Your so right that people are just growing up differently now. With technology, and lack of respect for earned money. Usually people could not just get a new thing, they HAD to repair it.
So glad you could show and bring that to the kids.
on my way to read it. My blogging has been desperately interrupted by a family emergency.
Will eventually find my way back.
A lovely post, Susan. How rewarding it must be to teach these kids something they’ll always remember.
I’m commenting here to avoid another sign-in. 😉
That was a really cute story. I tend to do that sort of thing too — the ‘oh, yeah, I did break my wrist that one time.’ The blood doesn’t bother me though. I heard of your blog on a list of best wordpress blogs. Really cute. I’ll be back. 🙂
